About the Role
The Regional Training Manager will work alongside an existing Training Manager to deliver mandatory and regulatory training across
26 nursing homes nationwide
. Site allocation will be agreed based on experience and competencies.
This is a
hands-on, delivery-focused role
, with the majority of time anticipated to be spent facilitating training on-site, supported by administration and governance responsibilities.
Reporting to the
Head of Learning & Development
, the Regional Training Manager will work closely with Directors of Nursing, Persons in Charge, Regional Directors, and the Training Co-Ordinator to ensure staff are confident, compliant, and inspection-ready.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver and coordinate mandatory and regulatory training across multiple nursing homes
* Lead and maintain a standardised induction programme for new staff
* Support DONs and PICs with training compliance and HIQA inspection readiness
* Maintain accurate training records, matrices, and calendars (Timepoint)
* Conduct training audits and on-site compliance reviews
* Develop and coordinate Train-the-Trainer programmes
* Create engaging training materials and microlearning content
* Identify skills gaps and continuously improve training programmes
Requirements
* Clinical or healthcare education background (nursing desirable, not essential)
* 3–5 years' experience in healthcare training, education, or a similar role
* Strong knowledge of HIQA standards and residential care regulations
* Experience delivering training to multidisciplinary teams
* QQI Level 6 Manual Handling Instructor qualification
* IHF-recognised Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor qualification
* Excellent facilitation, organisation, and communication skills
* Strong digital skills (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, eLearning platforms)
