Senior Assessment Project Lead
The role of the Senior Assessment Project Lead is to oversee and manage the development, implementation, and delivery of assessment projects for Key Stages 1, 2, and 3 in Literacy and Numeracy. This includes ensuring that assessments are designed and implemented to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.
This position requires a strong understanding of curriculum design, assessment strategies, and project management principles. The successful candidate will have experience in leading or coordinating educational initiatives and designing assessments for key stages 1, 2, or 3 in Literacy and/or Numeracy; and analysing outcomes. They will also have excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including education professionals, to develop criteria, recruit, train and retain contractors to write and mark or moderate the assessments. They will also be responsible for maintaining CCEA records in accordance with the ISO Overview Procedure and for becoming familiar with records management practices and the implications of Freedom of Information (FoI), UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection (DP) Acts.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement assessments for Key Stage 1, 2, and 3 in Literacy and/or Numeracy; and analyse outcomes.
2. Lead or coordinate educational initiatives to improve educational outcomes.
3. Maintain CCEA records in accordance with the ISO Overview Procedure.
4. Develop criteria, recruit, train and retain contractors to write and mark or moderate the assessments.
5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop project plans and ensure timely and high-quality delivery of the project(s).
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- A recognised degree at Level 6 or above;
- A relevant teaching qualification;
- At least three years' experience of teaching at primary and/or post-primary level education;
- Experience working at a senior level within the education sector managing people and budgets;
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills;
