Support Worker Position
We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic professionals to join our team of care staff in supporting adults towards independent living and community integration.
The successful candidate will provide person-centred care that empowers individuals with physical, intellectual disabilities, autism, and other support needs to live an ordinary life in a community-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualised plans to meet the ongoing needs of individuals supported.
* Maintain a strong working knowledge of legislation in place to protect vulnerable adults.
* Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements:
* Hold a minimum of a Level 7 on the QQI Framework - BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Health or Social Care.
* Have at least one year's experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
* Experience working with challenging behaviours is highly desirable.
* A full, clean manual driver's license and availability of own car for this post is essential.
* An understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to social care within disability services is necessary.
