Responsibilities for Building Services Engineer
1. Drive quality assurance across all Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) installations on complex residential developments, ensuring alignment from early coordination through to final sign-off and handover
2. Provide technical support to site teams, facilitating the seamless integration of M&E services and resolving installation issues as they arise
3. Interface with architects and structural engineers to coordinate M&E requirements across multiple disciplines
4. Oversee the performance of specialist subcontractors on site, ensuring delivery meets both schedule and quality expectations
5. Coordinate directly with utility companies, local authorities, and project consultants to manage the timely delivery of essential services such as electricity, gas, water, telecoms, and lighting
6. Proactively identify and manage the diversion or upgrade of existing utility networks as needed to support ongoing site works
7. Contribute to the business's value engineering strategy by researching and recommending efficient and future-ready mechanical and electrical systems
8. Manage temporary service infrastructure, including power and water supplies, throughout the construction phase
Requirements for Building Services Engineer
9. Qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering
10. At least four years' post-graduate experience in a similar role within the construction or property development sector
11. Genuine enthusiasm for sustainability, energy efficiency, and new innovations in residential M&E design
12. A background in trades is an asset but not essential
13. Self-driven and well-organised, with the ability to manage tasks independently while collaborating effectively within a team
14. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong focus on teamwork and coordination
15. Strong time management and a results-oriented mindset
16. Full driving licence and readiness to travel between active sites in the Greater Dublin area
