Snapshot of your key responsibilities as System Analyst
Maintain and grow a strong working knowledge of CRIO/eSource and the broader portfolio of systems used within the organisation.
Provide technical knowledge and help coordinate all business system support, maintenance, and deployment activities.
Resolve system issues quickly to ensure continued access; apply root cause analysis as needed to prevent recurrence.
Provide support to system users with queries and incidents in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Understand and respond to customer feedback on systems, identifying trends and escalating concerns appropriately.
Provide as‑needed support for the timely installation of new releases and patches, including associated technical expertise, training, and business process development.
Manage user access to relevant systems, ensuring that all users have met the applicable access requirements.
Identify system risks and issues and raise concerns through the appropriate channels.
Apply knowledge and experience to continuously improve system functionality and operational efficiency.
Partner across functions, geographies, and vendor staff as needed to ensure seamless system operation.
Design, develop, and maintain Microsoft Fabric and Power BI solutions — including Lakehouses, Dataflows, semantic models, and dashboards — to deliver consistent, accurate, and actionable reports and metrics across the organisation.
Build and support Fabric Lakehouse ingestion and transformation workflows using Dataflows, notebooks, and SQL endpoints.
Configure and monitor Fabric pipelines and schedules; troubleshoot refresh and job failures and perform root‑cause analysis to improve reliability.
Manage Fabric workspace structure, access controls, and governance, including permissions, sensitivity labels, and row‑level security as required.
Optimise end‑to‑end performance — data modelling, query folding, incremental refresh, and capacity‑aware design — to ensure scalable and responsive reporting.
Complete data movement activities and associated quality checks.
Develop and maintain metrics as needed to support operational oversight.
Requirements
3+ years experience in a similar role.
Strong hands‑on experience with the Microsoft Power Platform:
Power BI
Power Automate
Power Query / Fabric
Excel reporting
Strong problem‑solving skills; able to anticipate and recognise problems, diagnose root causes, and take corrective action to prevent recurrence.
Excellent self‑management and organisational skills; able to manage workload, set personal priorities, and adjust as needed.
Flexibility to adjust quickly and effectively to frequent change and altered priorities.
Knowledge and/or experience in project management of data migration and reporting.
Proficiency in data visualisation and business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI), including the design and development of Lakehouses, Dataflows, automated pipelines, and metrics‑driven reporting dashboards.
Experience leveraging workflow automation platforms (e.g. Power Automate) to streamline data processes and enhance operational efficiency across reporting functions.
