Key Responsibilities
Install external wall insulation (EWI) systems (EPS, mineral wool, etc.) including prep, boarding, meshing, and rendering
Supervise site crews and subcontractors to maintain consistent quality and output
Liaise with project managers to plan and organise daily labour allocation, material requirements, and on-site workflow
Provide technical guidance on detailing, finishes, and application methods
Enforce NSAI-approved system specs and SEAI standards
Conduct staged inspections (boarding, meshing, rendering) and document each stage
Identify and resolve quality issues or rework requirements
Ensure all works follow project drawings, manufacturer guidelines, and audit expectations
Promote and enforce safe work practices including PPE and working at height protocols
Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and daily site inductions
Complete and monitor risk assessments
Ensure scaffold access and power tool use are compliant and safe
Lead by example with professional conduct and strong workmanship
Provide on-site training, mentoring, and support to new operatives
Communicate clearly with Project Managers, office teams, and site colleagues
Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative site culture
Maintain accurate site diaries, photo documentation, and stage sign-offs (Fastfield Forms)
Report material needs, site conditions, or delays to project managers
Complete and verify quality checklists and SEAI compliance evidence
Skills and Requirements
Proven experience installing external wall insulation systems (EPS, mineral wool, renders, etc.)
Previous experience in a site supervisor, crew lead, or senior operative role
Knowledge of NSAI-certified systems, SEAI standards, and construction detailing
Safe Pass and Manual Handling (required)
Comfortable working at height and enforcing scaffold safety
Confident communicator with good leadership, planning, and mentoring ability
Strong attention to detail and pride in clean, snag-free work
