Senior Grade Medical Scientist – Haematology/Blood Bank
Full Time – Permanent Contract

The laboratory is fully accredited by the Irish National accreditation Board, Reg no 153MT and the Hospital is JCI accredited.
Applications are invited for the above position from suitably qualified and experienced candidates.
The ideal candidate will possess the required qualifications for a Senior Medical Scientist as stipulated by the HSE:
(Ref HSE Grade Code 3877)
* Have the required qualifications for a Senior Medical Scientist post as stipulated by the Department of Health
* Applicants must be a registered Medical Scientist with CORU.
* Applicants must be eligible for Fellowship membership of The Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine.
* Have 4 years clinical post qualification experience as a Medical Scientist
* Be competent, innovative, reliable, enthusiastic, and self-motivated.
* Excellent planning & organisational skills
* Excellent leadership, interpersonal and people management skills.
* Experience in Haematology and Transfusion Science is essential.
