We require a Head Chef for The Parkavon Hotel Killarney Co Kerry. The ideal candidate is a current Head Chef or an experienced Sous Chef, with 3+ years experience in a similar type property. You are tasked to share your creativity amongst the team, using your initiative and experience to manage a Kitchen to the highest standards, adhering to health & safety and HACCP guidelines. You need to be motivated, flexible, efficient and results focused. This is a "hands on" role where you are encouraged to introduce new cooking concepts to our menu content.Role ResponsibilitiesManage both the Bar and Hotel Restaurant Kitchens.Deliver consistency and excellent standards of food, service and attention to detail.Fully involved in daily kitchen operations and experienced to work in all areas.Ability to mentor and train the team in all procedures.Liaising with General Manager on menus, new concepts, training, etcTake lead on all hygiene matters, cleaning rotas, HACCP and H/S.General kitchen supervision and management responsibilities.Take active role in updating menus, daily specials, costing & sourcing ingredients.Requirements· 3+ years Head Chef or Sous Chef experience in 4* Hotel· Fluent English written and spoken is required· Candidates require full legal status to live and work in Ireland - No work permit availableJob Type: Full-timeExperience:Head chef: 3 years (preferred)Work Location: In person
