Overview
Manager, Commercial Procurement, Agile Sourcing role at Bristol Myers Squibb. The position focuses on sourcing and contracting across Commercial categories, including Commercial Distribution, Marketing Services, Patient Engagement, and Media. Reports to the Senior Manager, Agile Sourcing, Commercial.
Responsibilities
* Oversee and lead the end-to-end sourcing and contracting process in support of operations across the Commercial categories.
* Act as a facilitator to fully manage and lead complex sourcing events from end-to-end (RFI/RFP): lead the preparation and solicitation of competitive bids, quotations and proposals; evaluate competitive offerings; assess supplier product and pricing information; conduct negotiations and communicate decisions externally.
* Facilitate the contract lifecycle from understandings of deal complexities to drafting, negotiation, redlining, finalization, distribution, signatures and storage.
* Coordinate with business stakeholders, procurement partners and subject matter experts (e.g., Legal, Cybersecurity/IT, Data Privacy, Quality) to incorporate feedback for timely, compliant contracts.
* Maintain awareness of pre-contracting steps and relevant BMS policies and procedures.
* Participate in continuous improvement of Source to Contract processes, standardization, and best practices; collaborate with Agile Sourcing teams to meet business needs in a compliant, consistent manner across functions.
* Work with procurement and legal to improve contracting processes, including updates to templates and negotiation guidance.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within procurement to strengthen contracting and sourcing outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
* B.S./B.A. in Sciences
* Minimum 3-5 years of related experience in Commercial category procurement, sourcing and contracting, including familiarity with Master Services Agreements
* Understanding of procurement processes, agreement management, financial/market/supplier analysis, supplier diversity and strategic planning
* Knowledge of contract terms and conditions; experience drafting and negotiating buy-side and in-scope contracts in the pharma/biotech industry is preferred
* Excellent written and oral communication with strong customer focus
* Adaptable in a dynamic environment with ability to manage multiple demands and inspire cross-functional teams
* Strong project management skills and a track record of leading initiatives with cross-functional teams
* Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management technology (e.g., Icertis) to automate processes
