About the Role:

* The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) plays a pivotal role in providing clinical leadership and managing day-to-day clinical practices.

* This senior clinical position reports to the Director of Nursing and is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality nursing care.

Responsibilities:

1. Clinical Practice:
">
">
* Ensure the delivery of the highest standards of nursing care that meet individual patient needs.
">
* Review nursing documentation to ensure it reflects the care and treatment required by each resident.
">
* Participate in handover, troubleshoot ongoing clinical issues, and escalate to the Director of Nursing as necessary.
">
* Support CNMs, provide direction, mentorship, and regular communication.
">
* Carry out performance appraisals and education & professional development objectives with CNMs, staff nurses, and care assistants.
">
* Train, educate, and develop nursing and care staff.
">
* Clinical audits: regularly review residents' documentation, ensuring timely assessments, care planning, and implementation of care are documented and reviewed.
">
* Ensure complaints are swiftly dealt with at the point of contact and escalated for resolution if necessary.
">
">
2. Collaboration and Communication:

* Assist and liaise with the multidisciplinary team, relatives, and families.
">
* Be part of the senior management team and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality care.
