Join us at the Alexion RDU facility in Blanchardstown, Dublin, where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting automated systems within the ADMF Packaging area. With three Packaging Lines and an Assembly Machine, your expertise will be crucial in ensuring seamless operations and compliance.
Accountabilities:
1. Work independently and guide our in-house Automation team to develop, implement, and maintain packaging automation systems in the Alexion Dublin Manufacturing Facility (ADMF).
2. Develop, review, and approve new and updated software standards.
3. Provide automation expertise to the engineering and operations department on design and sustaining decisions.
4. Liaise closely with internal stakeholders to support packaging operations.
5. Develop and implement standard operating procedures to ensure future compliance of all automation systems.
6. Ensure all new software is delivered and maintained in a compliant and qualified state.
7. Support validation activities.
8. Participate in cross-functional teams to optimize processes and equipment.
9. Grow automation skills and capabilities within the Manufacturing team.
10. Assist in training personnel on automation aspects of equipment.
11. Design and implement solutions across automation platforms in line with site change control procedures.
12. Develop, review, and approve design documentation supporting New Product Introductions (NPI) projects.
Essential Skills/Experience:
* At least 3 years supporting GMP environments and applications in the automation industry.
* Understanding of cGMP requirements for biopharmaceutical manufacturing and ability to implement GAMP best practices.
* Knowledge of automation system implementation and validation lifecycle, including product quality impact.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
* Experience with packaging automation and vision systems platforms.
* Experience with change controls and deviation investigations.
* Knowledge of automation system design and architectures supporting NPI.
* Experience managing system integrators.
* Familiarity with Marchesini & Seavision systems, SIEMENS & Schneider PLC systems.
* Understanding of device assembly functions within a GMP facility.
