The post is responsible for clinical leadership, caseload management, quality assurance, and the delivery of recovery-orientated, integrated care for individuals accessing Housing First Services.Principal Duties And ResponsibilitiesCo-ordinate, assess, plan, implement, and review care for service users according to service standards; provide safe, comprehensive nursing care in line with professional guidelines and local policies.Manage own caseload; encourage evidence-based practice; participate in teams; collaborate with service users, families, carers and staff in treatment/care planning.Work with Housing First and homeless services teams, including key workers/case managers responsible for housing and tenancy support; liaise with GPs, public health, emergency departments, acute hospitals and community mental health teams to improve health and quality of life.Lead nursing staff development, supervision of students where appropriate, and contribute to education and training programs.Maintain high professional standards, confidentiality, ethics, and legal requirements; contribute to quality management, clinical audits, and health promotion programs.Health & Safety, Education & Training, and AdministrationMaintain a safe environment, contribute to risk assessments, implement health and safety policies, infection control and HIQA standards; participate in OSH training and incident reporting.Provide professional leadership, supervise staff, maintain accurate records, and participate in IT developments relevant to service administration.Exercise authority in designated areas as deputised by CNM2; ensure appropriate skill mix and resource allocation; monitor activity and data trends for resource planning.Qualifications & EligibilityCandidates must be registered in the Register of Nurses kept by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (preferably in the Psychiatric Division) or entitled to be so registered; have at least 3 years post-registration experience (1 year in Psychiatric Nursing); demonstrate evidence of Continuing Professional Development; possess clinical, managerial and administrative capacity for the role; and meet health, age and character requirements as specified in the job broad criteria.Post Specific RequirementsDemonstrate depth and breadth of experience in Housing First initiatives; access to appropriate transport to fulfil role requirements; and ability to lead on clinical practice and service quality, promote evidence-based decision making, and manage a team.
