Powerplant Engineer
Description
Manage powerplants for clients, including engine phase‑in/phase‑out, condition monitoring, records review and maintenance forecasting.
Provide technical support for engine deliveries, redeliveries, Base Maintenance and Line Maintenance to CAE clients.
Liaise with CFM, IAE, Pratt & Whitney, Boeing, Airbus, Honeywell, and other OEMs to resolve technical issues.
Perform engine health monitoring, performance assessments and technical overviews in coordination with OEMs.
Review and implement Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and additional technical documentation.
Identify and implement solutions to reliability issues together with client Reliability Departments and OEMs.
Conduct comprehensive analyses to forecast engine lifecycle and determine asset value.
Perform detailed records review, develop status reports and manage the OIL process.
Coordinate and monitor Engines and APU maintenance visits with MROs and asset owners/lessors, including technical and economic elements (invoice reviews, claims, etc.).
Contribute to client reliability reviews on powerplant‑related technical issues.
Maintain liaison, reporting and follow‑up with clients regarding services provided by CAE.
Manage and execute additional assigned projects.
Minimum Qualifications
Relevant Engineering degree or EASA Part 66 maintenance license.
2–3 years' experience in an airworthiness/CAMO or fleet management role within an airline or MRO environment.
Understanding of EASA Part M, Part CAMO and Part 145 regulations.
Excellent communication skills, including experience writing or reviewing technical instructions.
Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint.
Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and make decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
Flexible approach to work.
Willingness to travel when required.
Self‑motivated and effective working independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant Engineering degree or EASA Part 66 maintenance license.
