Overview:
KDP Ireland is seeking to add a lawyer to join its existing legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating procurement agreements within IT, Marketing, Manufacturing, and R&D sectors. This role is based at KDP Ireland’s Newbridge facility, requiring presence at least 3 days per week, and reports to the Sr Director, Legal. The role focuses on supporting Keurig Dr Pepper’s global procurement functions, involving contract review, drafting, and negotiation, with potential additional responsibilities as the business evolves. The position demands expertise in structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex transactions, ensuring compliance with intellectual property, data privacy, and cybersecurity standards. Knowledge of standard contractual terms, strong drafting skills, and a business mindset are essential. Flexibility to develop expertise in other legal areas is advantageous. Position Responsibilities:
* Support procurement functions, especially in IT, Marketing, Manufacturing, and R&D, in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating agreements.
* Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of IT procurement agreements, including software licensing, SaaS, and cloud services.
* Advise on technology transactions, ensuring compliance with IP, data privacy, and cybersecurity standards.
* Assess and mitigate risks in procurement transactions, identifying liabilities and aligning contract terms with policies.
* Provide strategic guidance on vendor risk management and third-party integrations.
* Advise on contractual disputes, breaches, and terminations.
* Manage relationships with business partners, understanding challenges and developing solutions.
* Maintain and promote compliance policies and procedures.
* Follow all company policies and support the corporate culture.
Qualifications:
* Qualified lawyer with 6-8 years of experience in international corporate/commercial law, preferably at a large law firm or corporate legal department.
* At least 3 years of legal experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating IT procurement and other indirect procurement agreements.
* Experience advising global teams and collaborating across functions.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple issues and projects responsively.
* Excellent judgment, proactive communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong collaborative and decision-making abilities, with experience working on large projects with geographically dispersed teams.
