As part of our on-going growth, we are now looking to expand our team and have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic CNC laser Operator at our manufacturing facility in Tusker, Broomfield, Co. Monaghan.

Qualifications and Skills:
· Previous experience in working within a steel industry desirable.
· Proven CNC laser Operator experience preferable.
· Proficient ability to read and interpret drawings preferable.
· Ability to work within a team and on your own initiative.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
· Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels and Forklift training advantageous.
Responsibilities:
* Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machine for cutting sheet metal and plate materials.
* Interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and work orders to determine machine settings and cutting Methods.
* Select, inspect, and prepare raw materials (sheet metal, plate, etc.) for processing.
* Perform routine machine checks and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
* Inspect finished parts using calipers and other measuring equipment to verify dimensions.
* Troubleshoot equipment issues, material defects, or program errors, and escalate as necessary.
* Safely operating a forklift or other material-handling equipment to load and unload sheet metal and plate materials onto the laser cutting machine.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
* Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, tool changes and material usage.
* Immediately report near misses, incidents, or safety concerns to supervisor
* Work closely with other members of the fabrication team, including welders, fitters, and supervisors, to coordinate workflow and ensure project deadlines are met.
