Health and Safety CoordinatorWe are seeking a motivated and proactive Junior Health and Safety Coordinator to join our clients team. This role is ideal for someone with a minimum of 12 months' experience in health and safety within Ireland who is looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will support the delivery of health and safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with legislation and promoting a positive safety culture across the organization.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the implementation and maintenance of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.Support the management of HSE training programs, including onboarding, procedural updates, and legal compliance for employees and contractors.Participate in safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments, helping to identify hazards and support corrective actions.Assist in the investigation and reporting of workplace incidents, compiling data to support safety improvements.Help maintain HSE documentation and software systems, including incident reporting, audits, and document control.Support the development and execution of emergency plans and evacuation procedures.Promote a positive safety culture across all areas of the organization through engagement and communication.Requirements & SkillsMinimum 12 months' experience in a health and safety role within Ireland (manufacturing experience advantageous).Basic understanding of Irish health and safety legislation.Some experience in risk assessment, audits, or delivering safety briefings is desirable.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently, take initiative, and contribute to problem-solving and continuous improvement.Relevant third-level qualification or recognized health and safety certification is desirable but not essential.For a confidential conversation about the role please apply for the role or contact Owen Clancy at By applying to this job post you agree that Sterling Engineering may process your personal data for recruitment purpose.
