Auxilia Group Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Internal Auditor on behalf of our client, an established company within the retail sector. This is a permanent opportunity based in Co. Sligo. The role will involve travelling to company sites in Sligo, Roscommon and Mayo.
Role
Plan, execute, and report on operational, financial, and compliance audits
Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls across key business processes.
Conduct risk assessments to identify control gaps and emerging business risks
Prepare clear, concise audit reports outlining findings, root causes, and actionable recommendations.
Present findings to management teams and support them in implementing corrective actions.
Support the development and enhancement of internal audit frameworks and risk-based plans.
Requirements
Professional accounting or auditing qualification: ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CIA, or equivalent.
2+ years post qualification experience within industry, preferably the retail sector.
Experience auditing or analysing financial and operational processes.
Strong understanding of risk management, control frameworks, and audit methodologies.
Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
Full clean drivers\' licence and own transport required.
