The Sea Fisheries Protection Authority (SFPA) is seeking to recruit a panel of suitable candidates to fill Executive Officer vacancies in Clonakilty, Co.
Cork.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: EO Administrative Support duties include, but are not limited to: Provide administrative and secretarial support The checking, recording and issuing of documents Preparation and management of documentation and its input and validation on relevant systems Dealing directly with the public in support of services provided to them The delivery of an efficient and effective customer service The critical analysis of proposals and reports and the examination of the more complex, non-routine cases on which decisions are required Essential Criteria: Candidates must meet the following essential requirements prior to the closing date of the competition: Have obtained in the Leaving Certificate Examination a minimum of grade D at Ordinary (or Pass) level in Mathematics and Irish or English, having obtained a minimum of Grade C in at least five subjects at Higher (or Honours) level papers; OR Hold a qualification, that in the opinion of the SFPA, is of a standard in terms of both level and volume of learning that is of at least an equivalent or higher standard to the Leaving Certificate (this will only be determined during the selection process or if a candidate comes under consideration for a position); OR Have passed the first year examination of a course leading to a third level qualification; AND Two or more years direct experience as a senior administrator or demonstrable equivalent experience within a fast-paced administration environment, Demonstrable administrative & organisational skills, Have effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels within the organisation, Be numerate and IT literate, and be familiar with the following software packages (Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point) at a minimum, Be able to complete all tasks to a high standard, Have a strong ethos of confidentiality, Be self-motivated and prepared to be flexible when the occasion demands, Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability, Excellent customer service skills, Fluent spoken and written English is essential.
Desirable Criteria: Third level qualification.
