Financial Controller Our client, a leading not for profit organisation in Cork, are seeking a Financial Controller to join their Senior Management Team.

The role will be responsible for the day-to-day operational Financial management and will assist with development and implementation of strategic needs and goals.

Responsibilities: Produce a financial reporting pack on a monthly and yearly basis for senior management team and Board Preparation of an annual budget in conjunction with the senior management team.
Manage the Finance Team to ensure the smooth running of all the duties assigned to them.
Work with relevant parties to compile Board Meeting Agendas and Board Papers in a timely manner in advance of each Board Meeting.
Assist the Company Secretary in all aspects of Board secretarial duties and ensure papers go out in a timely manner.
Advise and facilitate the management team and the Board of Governors on legal and Company Law matters to ensure full compliance.
Ensure that insurable risks are adequately indemnified.
Ensure the organisation operates to the highest IT standards and are adequately protected security wise.
Ensure compliance with the Charities Law and Regulations and the filing of annual reports to the Charity Regulator Work effectively with the relevant parties to develop and implement effective risk management strategies.
Furnish monthly and yearly accounts to both the Senior Management team and to the Board Requirements: A professional qualification in Financial or Management accountancy A minimum of seven years experience, to include management experience An ability to effectively lead and manage the Finance team and maintain a positive culture.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills An ability to problem solve and make sound and timely decisions.
An ability to work collaboratively with other members of the senior management team to enable the effective and efficient management of the organisation Proficiency in the use of IT systems.
