Johnson Hana is seeking a Privacy Specialist for an upcoming project with a large international tech company. This project will be 4 months in length and there is a strong potential for this project to be extended beyond this timeframe. This project is on a contract basis, and is offering full time hours.
Key Skills & experience:
* Manage the privacy inbox, including triaging and responding to privacy queries in a timely manner, with the assistance of a comprehensive playbook.
* Collaborate with internal teams to address data protection issues and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
* Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to data protection.
* Conduct privacy impact assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating privacy risks.
* Act as a subject matter expert on data protection matters, providing guidance and training to internal stakeholders as needed.
* Possess demonstrated experience and understanding of privacy and data protection requirements within the U.S. jurisdiction, including familiarity with relevant federal and state regulations.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in data protection, privacy compliance, or related fields (1-3 years experience)
* Demonstrated experience and understanding of privacy and data protection requirements within the U.S. jurisdiction, including familiarity with relevant federal and state regulations.
* Strong understanding of privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and others.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT) are a plus.
