The Junior Project Engineer will work with the Site Capital Lead, Project Managers, and Project Engineers across the site’s self-directed work teams and hub teams to support the delivery of operational and capital projects.Primary DutiesThe objectives of this role are as follows:Develop an understanding of project scope, schedule, and deliverables for projects within assigned areasSupport the maintenance of project documentation and capital project tracking filesAssist the project team with gathering and collating data to support reporting on project scope, schedule, and budgetSupport the tracking of project costs and assist in identifying variances between planned and actual spendAssist with raising project-related requisitions using AribaSupport the processing of invoices and payments through SAPAssist in the preparation and administration of Scope of Works (SOWs) and purchase orders for capital projectsSupport the preparation and presentation of project reports and data for internal stakeholdersAssist with the preparation of financial and progress reports by collecting and summarising project informationSupport project teams in monitoring and reporting on monthly project spendingWork collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support project deliveryEducation and Experience RequirementsLevel 8 degree in Engineering, Construction, Business, or another technical discipline2-5 years’ experience in an engineering, construction, or project delivery environmentUnderstanding of project delivery principles, including scope, schedule, and cost managementStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively within cross-functional project teamsGood report writing, documentation, and communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office suite and job-related computer applicationsExperience or exposure to SAP, Ariba, or other procurement systems would be an advantage
