Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our Investment Accounting Business Analysis group. The successful candidate will apply their data, financial analysis, and technology skills to support our systems and business strategies, collaborating with diverse teams on challenging projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements to improve operational performance.
2. Review user and operations requests, conduct data-gathering interviews.
3. Create business specifications, redesign applications/processes, and develop mockups.
4. Partner with clients and developers throughout the SDLC.
5. Develop and execute test plans, validate system functionality, and document results.
6. Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, developers, and testers.
7. Utilize technologies such as Jira, Excel, SQL, Visio, Python, and reporting tools like PowerBI or Tableau.
Qualifications
* 1-2 years of experience in banking, financial services, fund administration, or related fields.
* Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, IT, Finance, Economics, or related disciplines.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
* Experience with SQL, Cognos, or other reporting platforms.
* Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
* Experience with software testing, automation tools, or data visualization.
