The Financial Controller (FC) is responsible for overseeing all financial operations across a multi-property hotel portfolio, including two established upscale hotels and a future development property. The role ensures strong financial control, regulatory compliance, profitability, and strategic financial support to hotel operations.Key ResponsibilitiesOverall responsibility for accounting, financial management, and statutory compliance across all propertiesPreparation and oversight of budgets, forecasts, financial statements, and management reportsCash flow management, cost control, working capital, and asset/liability reconciliationEnsure compliance with tax legislation, financial regulations, and audit requirementsMaintain strong internal controls and safeguard hotel assetsProvide financial insight and support to General Managers and Company DirectorsIdentify opportunities for cost savings, revenue growth, and profit improvementOversee internal, external, and regulatory auditsEnsure accurate financial reporting and timely delivery of reportsLeadership & Team ManagementLead and manage the Accounts DepartmentRecruit, train, develop, and performance-manage the accounts teamConduct regular team meetings and performance appraisalsFoster a collaborative, high-performance culture with a focus on accountability and work-life balanceSkills & ExperienceQualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent, or relevant degree in Finance/Accounting3–5 years' experience in a senior finance role within an upscale (4/5 star) hospitality environmentStrong hotel-specific financial knowledge and commercial awarenessAdvanced proficiency in MS Excel and other MS applicationsExperience with accounting and hotel systems (e.g. Sage, Brightpay, Alkimii, Mews, Bizzon)Excellent analytical, organisational, communication, and decision-making skillsAdditional RequirementsFluent English (written and spoken)Must have legal eligibility to work in Ireland.If this opportunity aligns with your career goals and you are ready for your next move, please send your CV to or call for a discussion.Top of FormBottom of Form
