An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially focused Financial Controller to lead and strengthen the finance function during a period of continued growth.
Reporting into senior leadership, the Financial Controller will take ownership of the Group finance function, ensuring robust financial reporting, strong controls, and high-quality commercial insight across the business.
This is a key leadership role suited to an ambitious qualified accountant who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and wants to make a real impact within a growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely monthly management accounts across the Group.
Develop, maintain, and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal financial controls.
Monitor financial performance, analyse costs, and identify opportunities for efficiencies and improvement.
Coordinate year-end financial reporting processes across multiple business units and subsidiaries.
Ensure all statutory, tax, regulatory, and compliance obligations are completed accurately and on time.
Manage external audit processes and act as the primary finance contact for auditors and external stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function, including finance transformation projects where appropriate.
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, promoting a culture of accountability and high performance.
Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide meaningful financial insight and commercial support.
About You
ACA / ACCA qualified accountant.
Minimum 5 years’ post-qualified experience.
Previous Financial Controller experience within a business with turnover exceeding €10m.
Strong experience managing financial reporting across multiple entities or subsidiaries.
Proven experience preparing statutory audit files and managing external audit processes.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Commercially focused with a proactive and solutions-driven approach.
Experience with finance transformation initiatives is advantageous.
Experience using AccountsIQ is beneficial.
