We publish worldwide, in 26 languages with monthly active users in the millions.
About the Role:
You will play a crucial role in driving the development and success of our apps, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards and deliver exceptional value to our audience.
You will create engaging and fun experiences for kids and families.
You will drive all aspects of creative product development and release, in adherence to defined brand guidelines, with sensitivity to partner brand bibles and IP specifications, and in alignment with strategic and commercial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Product Vision and Strategy:
o Develop a clear and compelling vision for company products, aligning with the company's overall mission and objectives and in close collaboration with product and/or prototype teams.
o Formulate a product strategy that balances creativity, entertainment, and educational value to cater to the needs of our young audience.
o Research, evaluate and engage third-party developers with the requisite technology, skills, and track record to deliver compelling interactive experiences.
o Create and maintain a detailed product roadmap outlining short-term and long-term development goals. Work closely with the Chief Product Officer to review and adjust the roadmap based on market conditions, user feedback, and business priorities. Understand product dependencies and constraints.
* Requirements Gathering:
o Conduct market research and gather insights from target users, parents, and educators to identify trends, preferences, and pain points. Use this information to prioritize app features and improvements.
o Translate high-level product concepts into clear user stories with detailed acceptance criteria. Collaborate with the development team during sprint planning and refinement sessions.
o Lead creative sessions to define gameplay mechanics and visual aspects of characters and environments.
o Analyze user feedback, app performance metrics, and reviews to identify areas for improvement. Use data-driven insights to enhance user experience.
o Plan and conduct user testing sessions to gather feedback and validate features. Use insights to refine requirements and improve the app.
o Coordinate the release process, ensuring timely and quality launches.
o Collaborate with developers to craft project plans, define objectives, address risks, and establish milestones.
o Provide project status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
o Ensure third-party partners have the necessary information and leadership to deliver quality on time and budget.
o Partner with internal teams for smooth delivery and oversee live operations and post-launch support.
* Stakeholder Management:
o Engage and motivate internal and external teams around the product vision.
o Align with other functions on product direction and releases.
o Manage relationships with external partners and licensors, ensuring successful collaboration and content integration.
o Act as liaison between internal teams, licensors, platforms, and external partners, providing updates and risk assessments.
* Budgeting Responsibility:
o Manage the product development budget effectively, collaborating with the Chief Product Officer and finance team to track expenses and optimize budget utilization.
* Regulatory Compliance & Risk Mitigation:
o Stay updated on industry regulations for children's apps, ensuring compliance.
o Identify and mitigate risks, communicating impacts to stakeholders.
What You'll Need:
* Proven experience of 5+ years as a Producer or similar role in mobile app development, especially in children's or teen's apps and/or branded IP.
* Familiarity with child development, learning principles, and user behavior in children's apps.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach.
* Passion for creating educational and entertaining experiences for children and families.
* Knowledge of agile methodologies and project management tools.
* Understanding of app store guidelines and regulations for children's apps is desirable.
