Overview
Are you an experienced Credit Controller who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment? Do you take pride in managing key commercial and corporate accounts while maintaining strong relationships across the business?
We're looking for a resilient and proactive
Credit Controller
to join a growing finance team. You'll oversee larger, high-value accounts, while supporting and mentoring a Junior Credit Controller who manages smaller clients.
This is a
busy, people-focused, and highly rewarding
position where you'll work closely with the Commercial Team and senior management in a collaborative, down-to-earth environment.
Responsibilities
* Take ownership of the credit control function for key corporate and commercial accounts
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure timely payments
* Proactively chase outstanding invoices via phone and email
* Investigate and resolve account discrepancies or queries efficiently
* Prepare and distribute aged debtor reports and monthly statements
* Contribute to accurate cash flow forecasting and debtor analysis
* Collaborate with the Finance and Commercial teams to streamline processes
* Support and mentor the Junior Credit Controller
* Assist with ad hoc finance projects as needed
Key Requirements
* 3–4 years' experience in a busy Credit Control or Accounts Receivable role
* Comfortable managing a large, high-value ledger
* Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with NAV (Navision) or similar ERP systems
* Thrive in a manual, fast-paced environment (not overly reliant on automation)
* Resilient, adaptable, and a team player who enjoys being hands-on
