About the Role
The Hillgrove Hotel are looking for a highly motivated Food and Beverage Assistant to join our dynamic team, specifically focused on supporting meetings and events. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of all food and beverage services for our valued guests.
Core Responsibilities
* Provide courteous and efficient service to all guests
* Accurately take, record, and promptly serve all food and beverage orders.
* Process guest checks and handle cash and card transactions accurately and responsibly.
* Proactively assist guests with basic needs and promptly elevate any compliments or complaints to the Supervisor.
* Support the team by ensuring all service areas, tables, and stations are fully stocked, spotless, and organized.
* Maintain a good working knowledge of the menu, including drinks, to confidently advise guests on selections.
* Assist the management team with event setup, clear‑down, and room service duties as required.
* Adhere strictly to all hotel standards, health & safety, hygiene protocols, and licensing regulations regarding alcohol service.
What We Are Looking For
* Previous experience in a customer‑facing role is an advantage, but not essential—a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to work efficiently and professionally in a fast‑paced environment.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by the business needs.
