Job Description
As a seasoned financial professional, you will play a pivotal role in the accounting function and lead direct and dotted-line reports. This opportunity allows you to become a key member of the management team, collaborating closely with senior leaders across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare quarterly management accounts and annual statutory accounts.
* Ensure accurate external and internal reporting at both statutory and group levels, working effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Manage intercompany transactions across multiple entities.
* Act as the main point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, and foreign entity audits.
* Oversee monthly payroll for the company and review payroll managed by external providers for foreign subsidiaries.
* Ensure compliance with VAT, RCT/CIS, VIES, and payroll regulations across multiple jurisdictions (Ireland, UK, Netherlands).
* Work closely with the commercial team to process invoices for multiple construction contracts and track work-in-progress values for quarterly reporting.
* Lead accounts receivable management, ensuring clients pay within contractual terms.
* Be a trusted contact for internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, employees, and compliance agencies.
* Supervise and mentor a trainee accountant.
Requirements:
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 7+ years PQE in demanding finance roles.
* Background in public accounting desirable but not essential.
* Strong technical expertise in financial reporting, audit, and compliance.
* Proven ability to work independently, with excellent attention to detail, organisational, and time-management skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experience with cloud-based accounting systems.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and jurisdictions.
