The Role

* As a dedicated Health, Safety and Environment Manager you will play a key leadership role in shaping our proactive HSE culture within a high-performance engineering environment.

Main Responsibilities:

* Oversight of our organisation's compliance with workplace safety legislation and internal protocols.
* Regular inspections across departments to document findings.
* Creation and review of job-specific risk assessments and method statements.
* Identification and implementation of practical solutions to mitigate risk.
* Presentation of safety-related updates and metrics at management meetings.
* Investigations into on-site incidents and recommendation of follow-up actions.
* Maintenance of accurate and current health and safety records.
* Coordination of staff safety training, toolbox talks, and onboarding safety briefings.
* Liaison for health and safety audits, external regulators, and third-party inspectors.
* Tracking and reporting on workplace accidents, hazards, and compliance metrics.
* Assistance in designing and testing emergency response strategies.
* Monitoring use of protective equipment and ensuring availability across teams.
* Development and implementation of our HSE management systems.
* Compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation and ISO standards.
* Driving behavioural safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Leadership of H&S training, coaching, and engagement across all departments.

The Person
">
* Minimum 5 years' experience as a senior H&S professional within a high-volume manufacturing setting.
* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent safety qualification).
* Strong background in conducting and documenting risk assessments and incident reports.
* Ability to lead, develop, and implement a strong safety-first people agenda.
* Passionate safety leader who can influence and inspire across all levels.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
