Electrical and Automation Engineer Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as an Electrical and Automation Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expertise to the production and engineering departments, carrying out electrical repairs, preventive maintenance on machinery, and troubleshooting robotic cells to minimize production downtime.


Key Responsibilities:

* Development, commissioning, and support of automation and control systems, including specification and selection of equipment controls hardware.
* Maintenance, development, troubleshooting, and validation of systems in a compliant manner, ensuring adherence to relevant legislation.
* Providing technical expertise and leadership in process and equipment development, including equipment/process control and monitoring.
* Support and programming for PLCs, motion control, and PC-controlled equipment, staying up-to-date with technological developments through regular contact with external technical representatives and vendors' agents.
* Monitoring and evaluating safety practices, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.

As an Electrical and Automation Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from developing and implementing new automation systems to troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes and deliver results.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Proven experience in electrical and automation engineering, with a strong background in automation and control systems.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Proficiency in PLC programming languages, such as Ladder Logic or Structured Text.
* Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including relevant safety protocols and procedures.
