Job Title: Contract Administrator
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team working on highway, public realm, and transportation projects.
Project Overview: Providing technical advice and support for highway infrastructure operations and maintenance.
The successful candidate will work within a small team, requiring experience in contract administration, project management, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinating specialists, managing contracts, reviewing submissions, expediting project schedules, ensuring compliance, and conducting regular inspections;
* Prepare and present reports to clients;
* Draft and review correspondences to contractors;
* Liaise with internal teams and stakeholders;
* Manage day-to-day operational duties;
* Continuously improve operations and deliver quality customer service;
* Propose alternatives for expediting / recovering of project schedules with contractors for presentation to, and agreement with, the client;
* Attend Risk Reduction meetings and record actions and mitigations agreed;
* Monitor contractual compliance by the contractor, and early identification of issues and problems;
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical/electronic engineering; or in another relevant discipline;
* 5 years + post-graduate experience in infrastructure projects;
* Ideally experienced in mechanical/electrical systems projects and infrastructure maintenance;
Key Skills:
* Strong team player;
* Analytical, self-motivated, and numerate;
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
* Experience in chairing meetings and managing resources;
* Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines;
* Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word;
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in Infrastructure O&M schemes and Intelligent Transport Systems;
* Familiarity with PPP and NEC3 contracts, commercial risk, and procurement strategies;
* Knowledge of highway engineering standards, including DMRB;
