Excel Recruitment is seeking an IT Field Engineer and Support Specialist for our client who works within the retail and hospitality industries.
This is a permanent, fully office-based role with occasional travel nationwide required.
This candidate will be the first point of contact for technical support, helping users with desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
This would suit an experienced IT specialist who has serviced the hospitality or retail industry.
Responsibilities: Troubleshoot hardware and software issues Support Microsoft 365 applications, ensuring secure data handling.
Assist with Windows and other business tools Manage user accounts and permissions using Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID Handle administration of Intune, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 Admin Centre Support onboarding and offboarding processes Resolve network connectivity issues and VPN access problems Liaise with vendors to fix escalated hardware or software issues Track support tickets using Autotask Maintain clear documentation Contribute to IT projects like software rollouts and infrastructure upgrades.
Requirements Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field Minimum 2 years' experience in IT support Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 Experience with Intune, SharePoint, and Entra ID Familiarity with iOS and Android mobile platforms Basic understanding of networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN) Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX and EPOS systems is a plus Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Friendly, customer-focused attitude Desirable Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft 365 Certified CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ VMware certification (advantageous) If you would like to apply for this IT Field Engineer role, please apply using the link below.
