Overview
We are seeking an experienced Director to join a clients Risk & Assurance team, working within a well-established and growing firm focused primarily on public sector clients. This is a senior leadership role combining client delivery, portfolio management, and business development, with the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future growth of the function.
The successful candidate could be operating at Senior Manager level ready to step up, or already working at Director level.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of internal audit and risk advisory engagements for a diverse public sector client base, including government agencies, universities, and pension schemes.
Manage and grow an established client portfolio, driving revenue and identifying new business opportunities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the public sector.
Contribute to business development activities, including proposals, tenders, and market engagement.
Collaborate with Partners and senior leadership on strategic growth initiatives.
Provide leadership, mentoring, and development support to team members across the function.
Requirements
Proven experience in internal audit and risk advisory, ideally within the public sector
Strong commercial acumen with a track record of managing and growing client relationships
Well-connected within the Irish market, with experience engaging senior public sector stakeholders
Excellent leadership and people management skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
Professional qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA or equivalent) preferred
