Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled professional to fill a Cabinet Maker/Carpenter role. This position involves working on various projects, from building custom cabinets and furniture to installing fixtures.
Responsibilities:
* Read blueprints, drawings, and work orders to understand specifications and plan the construction process.
* Mark out, cut, and shape wood and other materials using hand tools and machinery such as power saws, jointers, and shapers.
* Join parts and subassemblies together using glue, dowels, nails, screws, or clamps to form completed units like cabinets, furniture, or fixtures.
* Trim, sand, and scrape surfaces to prepare them for finishing.
* Apply stains, veneers, polishes, or varnishes to create a finished product.
* Install hardware like hinges, handles, and drawer pulls.
Requirements:
* Carpentry/Joinery Qualification
* Full driving license (required for traveling to job sites)
* Safe Pass (preferred)
* Manual Handling Certification
