Overview
Arcadis DPS Engineering are a seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer for a Pharmaceutical assignment located in Ringaskiddy, Cork. This is initially a 12-month contract.
Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end change control processes on-site.
* Issue work permits and review risk assessments to ensure project safety.
* Chair meetings related to daily mechanical infrastructure and ongoing projects.
* Coordinate and supervise contractors for utility equipment operations.
* Operate and maintain all site facilities utilities to cGMP standards (USP, EU, etc.), including black utilities (boilers, chillers, air compressors, cooling towers, generators, WWTP).
* Provide technical support for equipment troubleshooting and maintenance; maintain accurate records on CMMS (SAP).
* Contribute to project execution, including new product introductions, process improvements, and facility upgrades.
* Ensure equipment and processes meet quality standards via validation and regulatory compliance activities.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, maintenance, and quality teams.
Requirements
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within manufacturing or industrial sectors, with project management exposure.
* Proficiency with relevant software and tools (e.g., CAD, Meridian, SAP, validation tools).
* Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
* Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
