Responsibilities
Prepare patients for surgery via comprehensive pre‑operative assessments, education programmes, and readiness evaluations.
Deliver post‑operative care, including inpatient reviews, wound management, and early identification of complications.
Manage patient enquiries via phone and email, ensuring timely advice and ongoing follow‑up.

Qualifications
Relevant postgraduate qualification at Level 8 or higher in bariatric nursing, obesity management, or a related clinical area.
Commitment to undertaking a Level 9 qualification in Advanced Nursing Practice.
Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Additional qualifications in clinical leadership or healthcare management are desirable.
Minimum five years’ post‑registration experience in an acute hospital setting.
At least two years’ experience in bariatric, surgical, or obesity‑related clinical care.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
Strong teaching and mentoring abilities with experience supporting clinical staff development.
Demonstrated clinical judgement, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
