Toolroom Manager
This role involves managing the toolroom, growing and developing its resources, and overseeing overall management to produce an efficient system and delivery solution.
* Provide a safe work environment for employees.
* Manage the repair and maintenance of tools internally and externally as required.
* Solve technical problems and manage outsource vendors as needed.
* Evaluate timelines and plan improvements to functionality/productivity of problem tooling on site.
* Instruct daily work at shop-floor with optimum utilisation of team members and equipment.
* Support new tool builds, acceptance, and validations with the NPI team.
* Develop toolmaking expertise within the company through specification development and sourcing of new toolmaking equipment.
* Maintain/improve processing equipment and services using best practices.
* Set and review targets with reporting staff to achieve business performance.
* Promote continuous improvement across operations to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* A third-level qualification in toolmaking, engineering, or tool design is necessary.
* Strong project management skills and client interfacing abilities are required.
* Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills are essential.
* Familiarity with 3D CAD, MS Office, and strong analytical and interpersonal skills are desirable.
* The ability to lead a team and possess strong people management skills is key.

* A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is essential.
* Proven experience in tool management is necessary.
* Excellent time management skills are required.
