We are presently recruiting a Garage Foreman / Workshop Supervisor for an established Garage and Service Centre in County Cork. As a Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing workflow, ensuring repairs meet manufacturer standards, diagnoses complex issues and ensuring the technicians maintain accurate records of work completed and liaise with the service department. This is an ideal position for an experienced Mechanic who wishes to progress into supervisory positions. The Garage is located in County Cork and with easy commute of most of County Kerry.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage workshop staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality workmanship.
2. Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, job allocation, and adherence to deadlines.
3. Conduct vehicle inspections to maintain service standards and ensure safety compliance.
4. Provide technical expertise, diagnosing complex issues and supporting the team with problem resolution.
5. Ensure all repairs and servicing meet manufacturer and dealer standards.
6. Maintain accurate records of work completed and liaise with the service department.
7. Train and mentor technicians to develop their skills and knowledge.
Experiences and requirements:
8. Fully qualified Mechanic.
9. 4+ years' experience, ideally in a main dealer environment
10. Have experience with diagnostics and modern vehicle electronics.
11. Have your own tools.
12. Hold a full, valid and current driver's licence.
