Roles and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in carrying out regular site safety inspections and audits under the guidance of senior advisors.
* Support with incident reporting, investigations, and follow-up actions.
* Help maintain and update EHS records, registers, and documentation to ensure compliance with legislation.
* Participate in delivering site inductions and toolbox talks.
* Contribute to preparing safety reports and KPIs for the senior management team.
* Support the review of method statements, risk assessments, and Safe Work Plans.
* Gain exposure to client and contractor safety requirements through site meetings and collaboration.
* Provide day-to-day support to site teams on EHS queries and promote a positive safety culture.
Qualifications and Skills
* A recognised qualification in Health & Safety (Degree, Diploma or equivalent) – recent graduates welcome.
* Some experience in construction, engineering, or related industries (e.g. internship, placement, or 1–2 years' work experience) would be beneficial but not essential.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a willingness to learn.
* Good organisational, IT and document management skills (Microsoft Office proficiency required).
* A proactive attitude, with the ability to work as part of a team.
* Full, clean driving licence preferred.
Desired Skills
* Occupational or Mental Health First Aid certification.
* Train the Trainer qualification.
* Membership or working towards membership of IOSH.
* Familiarity with auditing/inspection software and mobile reporting tools.
