On behalf of Nahanagans we are recruiting for a Lead Field HV Commissioning Engineer.
You will lead and mentor a dedicated team of HV professionals, shaping the culture and safety standards of our site delivery. Collaborating alongside your supportive colleagues, you will have the opportunity to contribute your expertise to projects powering Ireland's transition.

Responsibilities
What You Will Do:
Develop, build, and lead a HV commissioning and maintenance team to successfully deliver projects in target regions.
Act as Senior Authorised Person (SAP), carrying out HV switching and isolations on live HV networks.
Identify team training needs and coordinate external training or deliver in-house training where required.
Lead commissioning activities on site, including installation, assembly, maintenance, and commissioning of HV switchgear, transformers, protection relays, G10 and EGIP panels.
Mentor and develop team members until they are competent to work autonomously and achieve Authorised Person (AP) status.
Work closely with the Health & Safety Officer and management team to maintain and update HV Safety Rules in line with industry standards and statutory requirements.
Define work scope, allocate tasks, and monitor delivery against programme.
Supervise project schedules, milestones, and deadlines.
Facilitate and attend vendor FAT/SAT activities as required.
Act as a key point of communication for all electrical stakeholders.
Attend and contribute to internal, vendor, and client project meetings.
Oversee the preparation, review, and compliance of project documentation, including Test and commissioning protocol, compliance statements, final sign‑off documentation.
Skills Required
What You Will Need:
Minimum 5 years experience in HV/MV commissioning and field-based problem solving.
Proven experience working on live HV networks.
Strong leadership and stakeholder communication skills.
Experience in the use of Omicron test equipment and other test equipment used in protection testing.
