Ayrton Group is seeking a Construction Site Supervisor to join our client, a Utilities group, for a short-term requirement at a water treatment plant in Co. Galway.The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, safety-conscious individual responsible for the commercial and technical management of the project on-site. They will oversee all on-site activities, ensuring tasks are completed safely, within specifications, on time, and on budget, maintaining the highest quality standards and aligning with client requirements.The Construction Site Supervisor will fulfill the following roles:First AiderTemporary Works Supervisor/CoordinatorPICW (Person in charge of work)Key Responsibilities:Plan, manage, and monitor construction work, promoting high standards of health, safety, and environmental management.Familiarize with design documentation, project schedule, and construction methodologies.Assign personnel and coordinate activities according to company standards.Ensure all plant and equipment are fit for purpose and inspected as required.Review third-party RAMS / SSOW and develop methodology sequencing in line with company standards.Promote a positive safety culture on site and proactively address unsafe behaviors.Investigate incidents following company and client policies.Coordinate on-site activities to ensure smooth operations and prevent conflicts.Conduct daily briefings with supervisors, employees, and contractors.Report progress, risks, and opportunities to the project team.Provide a 3-week look-ahead schedule weekly to the client and their representatives.Maintain quality logs for subcontractors and ensure timely resolution of defects.Perform site H&S inspections and audits as required.Ensure all workers receive site-specific inductions and competencies are recorded.Fulfill PSCS duties on site.Manage subcontractor performance and escalate issues to the project manager.Optimize workflows to reduce project duration.Demonstrate commercial awareness and assist in resolving disputes and claims.Ensure compliance with environmental, waste management, safety, emergency, and project schedule plans during construction.Lead by example in H&S and empower all personnel to work safely.Key Requirements:IOSH Safety, Health, and Environment for Construction Site Managers (SHE).At least 5 years of experience working on multi-discipline site projects (mechanical, electrical, automation, commissioning).Minimum 5 years' construction experience, preferably in trades or supervision.Experience in the water/wastewater industry is desirable.Knowledge of water industry construction methodologies, equipment, and processes is desirable.First Aid certification.Proactive, professional communication and strong relationship management skills.Excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills.Ability to lead and manage project teams proactively.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to consult with relevant team members to resolve issues.Legal right to live and work in Ireland.Apply for this jobUpload your CV and submit your application.
