Energy and Climate Awareness Officer
This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead Codema's Think Energy campaign and manage the Home Energy Saving Kit programme.
Codema is seeking a proactive and dynamic Energy and Climate Awareness Officer to lead our energy awareness initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and deliver energy awareness programmes that empower communities and make a meaningful impact on energy savings and climate action in Dublin.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead energy awareness initiatives, including delivering engaging talks, workshops, and training sessions for communities and organisations.
* Manage and grow the Home Energy Saving Kit programme, overseeing day-to-day kit operations, providing ongoing support and training for library staff and key partners, and working with libraries, community groups, and new partners to expand the programme.
* Drive strategic partnerships and growth, helping to shape the future of Codema's energy awareness programmes, building new partnerships, and exploring funding opportunities.
* Oversight of digital communication activities, creating engaging content for web and socials, growing the Think Energy e-newsletter audience and digital reach.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
* Degree in Communications, Marketing, Climate Change, Project Management, Environmental Science, or similar discipline.
* Proven experience in delivering engaging talks, presentations, workshops, and events.
* Proven experience in project coordination, particularly in energy awareness, education, or community engagement.
* Strong presentation and communication skills to engage diverse audiences.
* Proven ability to think strategically and identify growth opportunities for programmes and initiatives.
* Strong time planning skills and the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
* Excellent organisational skills, including budget management and stock control.
* Proficiency in digital media management, including website content management systems, social media channels, and newsletter platforms.
* Passionate about sustainability, energy efficiency, and climate action.
* Fluency in English is essential.

* Indicative salary of €42,000 - €47,000.

Location: The Codema office is located in Dublin city and is accessible by a range of sustainable transport modes. Secure bicycle parking is also available.
Duration: Full-time, fixed-term 18-month contract.
