Job Opportunity:
The role involves overseeing the management of all aspects of a Designated Centre, encompassing provision of high-quality, person-centred services to residents and effective management of staff teams and resources.
This leadership position requires the successful candidate to discharge their responsibilities in line with The Health Act (2007) and associated Regulations.
A key aspect of this role is ensuring that allocated resources are effectively managed and deployed to meet service user needs.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational skills, enabling them to implement management systems that ensure the delivery of safe, appropriate, and high-quality services.
Responsibilities include maintaining an up-to-date Risk Register, implementing Safeguarding systems and processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for educating staff and students on relevant standards and regulations, as well as continually monitoring and improving the quality of services through observation and audit.
Requirements:
* The successful candidate must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) or hold a Social Care Degree (Level 8 desirable) and be registered with CORU or near completion of registration with CORU.
* They must meet the requirements of the Health Act (2007) Regulations (2013) with regard to the Person in Charge role.
* Excellent knowledge of HIQA Standards, the Health Act (2007), and associated Regulations and Guidance is essential.
* The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a management or supervisory role in the health or social care sector.
* Experience in the disability sector would be advantageous.
* A management qualification would be an asset.
* Proficiency in computer literacy and information technology skills is required.
* Excellent report writing skills are essential.
* An up-to-date, valid Irish Driving Licence is mandatory.
