The International Hotel Killarney is recruiting for an experienced Front Desk Receptionist to join our existing team in our luxury 4 Star Killarney town centre hotel.
This role can be either full or part time.
Role Requirements:
To greet the guests on arrival and at all times in a warm, welcoming and friendly manner.
· To check in/out guests effectively, ensuring all details are correct.
· Experience in Hotsoft would be an advantage or a similar hotel PMS
· To ensure that any additional requirements for guests are offered, i.e. dinner reservations, porter etc.
· To ensure that all charges are posted correctly onto room bills.
· To take reservations and respond to guests quickly.
· To answer switchboard in a warm and welcoming manner and effectively transfer calls to correct extensions in the absence of the switchboard operator.
· Dealing with any guest requests/queries in a polite and attentive manner and reporting any problems to the Duty Manager.
· Allocation of guest rooms and good knowledge of layout of same
· Maximising all sales opportunities at the desk.
· To comply with company regulations regarding, fire, health and safety, hygiene, customer care and security.
· To read, understand and carry out your responsibilities as defined in the Health and Safety Statement and Staff Handbook.
· To attend any meetings/training sessions as required.
