We embrace unique perspectives and empower each person to grow through professional development, career training and mentoring programs.Our people are our most important asset, and we are very proud of the quality of our team members.Duties and Responsibilities:Assist with investment accounting operation activities — including daily cash-matching and running reportsPost Investment Accounting journals for the group in the general ledger system and reconcile balancesPerform monthly investment accounting close cycle activitiesAssist with the preparation of various investment related period end reporting activities for Allied World Group and across various local regionsMaintain and implement good internal control procedures and ensure a high standard of complianceAssist in the preparation of ad hoc reports and projects as required.Required:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceIntention to shortly start the qualifying process or early stages of exams for internationally recognised accounting designation (ie ACCA or equivalent)Advance working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with highly developed Excel skills is essentialStrong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detailAbility to work well in a teamStrong work ethic, commitment to meet deadlinesStrong communication abilitiesIs an advantage:Experience in general accounting and in particular accounting for investmentsA working knowledge of SAPA working knowledge PAM for InvestmentsWorking at Allied WorldOur team of over 1,600 professionals has deep expertise in the industry.
