The duration of this post is6 months initiallywith likely extensions thereafter.Hybrid workingwill apply.Working35 hoursper week, the successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee and will be paid anannualised salary of €61,815.You willaccrue 30 days annual leaveper year andpaid Bank Holidays.Reporting to the CEO, and working closely with members of the Senior Management team, the individual will:Draft a high level plan of work based on gap analysis already conducted on status of policies and governance documentation. Liaising with the CEO, determine priorities for workplan based on audit findings, management team objectives, deadlines for submissions to DFHERIS and Audit & Risk committee requirements.Implement the workplan, drawing on public service best practice and already established policies in benchmarking organisations for our client.If required, work with the CEO to appoint an external expert to input to any particular policy or governance document.Report to CEO on progress of workplan, and as required a brief report for other governance structures.Working with the CEO and members of the SMT, ensure appropriate approvals obtained for updated policies and documentation (e.g. at SMT or Council).Prepare a schedule/timetable for future review and update of polices and governance documentation.Support the CEO on the updating of the Risk Register (quarterly). post liaison with risk owners and other relevant personnel.Development, and implementation of, a communication strategy for updated policies, and as required a training schedule for relevant personnel on updated policies in areas of risk and governance.Support the preparation of an online updated contract register.Support the preparation of an online research grants registerSupport the Strategy Implementation and Impact Officer in the development of our clients strategy.Notes:Experience in a public sector or higher education institution would be highly desirable and a distinct advantage.
