Job Overview
Brothers of Charity Services is seeking a skilled Social Care Professional to join our team. As a key member, you will provide supportive and advocative services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviors.
Key Responsibilities:
Support individuals in all aspects of life, focusing on their abilities and promoting independence and development of skills.
Assist and support people who use the service with development of their individual person-centered plans and achievement of associated outcomes.
Encourage participation in the community through inclusive and creative thinking, seeking opportunities for new experiences and encouraging positive risk-taking.
Requirements
Registered with or eligible to register with CORU by November 2025.
Full clean manual driving license, which qualifies you to drive manual transmission vehicles on Irish roads, is an essential requirement.
Fluency in verbal and written English is an essential requirement of this post.
Desirable Skills:
Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviors is desirable.
Goal setting and program implementation through a person-centered approach is also desirable.
Work Arrangements
Permanent part-time positions available.
45 hours per fortnight and 60 hours per fortnight options available.
All posts are based on a 14-day duty roster.
Successful candidates may be required to work to accommodate an integrated day service, with weekend work, some split duty hours, public holidays, evening/night duty, and sleep-ins to meet service needs.
Benefits
22 days annual leave pro-rata for part-time.
8.46 hours per 100 hours worked.
Appropriate service-related leave after 5 and 10 years' service respectively.
Department of Health social care worker salary scale applies: €39,951 x 11 increments - €55,049 per annum (pro-rata for part-time).
Long service increment €56,089 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) payable after 3 years on the maximum of the scale.
Additional payments for weekends, public holidays, and night duty when worked.
