The Merrion, one of Dublin's finest luxury hotels and a certified 'Great Place to Work', is recruiting for a Kitchen Steward.
Located centrally in Dublin with easy access to public transport, this role offers the opportunity to work in a beautiful hotel with high standards and all necessary tools. You will work with an experienced team and receive comprehensive training. This is a rewarding role with a warm team environment.
Your responsibilities as Kitchen Steward include:
1. Preparing mise-en-place for the kitchen
2. Washing and storing cutlery, crockery, and kitchen utensils to hotel standards
3. Cleaning all parts of the kitchen as part of daily and deep cleaning schedules
4. Following instructions for cleaning, preparing, and emptying dishwashers
5. Adhering to COSHH regulations regarding cleaning detergents and chemicals
6. Storing kitchen supplies according to HACCP standards
Working hours are 8 hours per day, 5 days a week, with shifts in the early, middle, or late periods. Weekend work is required.
The ideal candidate will be a fast-paced worker, a good team player, with excellent multi-tasking, communication skills, and proficiency in spoken and written English. Flexibility is essential to respond to guest and business needs, as no two days are the same.
