Job Summary The Host/Hostess is responsible for delivering a warm, refined, and personalized dining experience for guests during breakfast service within a hotel environment.
This role serves as the first point of contact in the restaurant, ensuring guests are welcomed graciously, seated promptly, and cared for with exceptional attention to detail, professionalism, and discretion.
Key Responsibilities Welcome guests with a polished, friendly, and professional demeanour, using names where possible.
Manage guest seating efficiently using Table Path, while maintaining the flow of service and respecting reservations and preferences.
Present menus, explain offerings as per meal period requirements, and communicate any daily specials or dietary options.
Coordinate closely with service and kitchen teams to ensure smooth and timely service.
Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests, complaints, or special requirements.
Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness, presentation, and table setup always.
Monitor restaurant ambiance, ensuring a calm, elegant, and welcoming atmosphere.
Handle guest feedback with discretion and professionalism, escalating issues when necessary.
Adhere strictly to hotel service standards, brand values, and health safety regulations.
Ensures that all set ups are in line and ready for the smooth operation Performs all the necessary tasks that is required in line with the Departmental Manual(s) and SOPs.
Ensure that entrance area and display counters are clean, tidy, fresh and appealing.
Ensure that any promotional materials are neatly arranged, clean and presentable and the newspapers are not over date.
Answer phones clearly and politely in the correct manner, as per the service standard.
Aware of all in house information and happenings to give the correct information to the guest.
When required, assist the service staff with prompt clearing of tables, during and after service of guests.
Adhere to billing policies and cost handling procedures.
Support the team and always maintain a clean and tidy restaurant.
Take any guest feedback seriously and advise management of any concerns.
Assist the service staff for taking and delivering F B orders from/to guests, as and when required.
Accept and manage restaurant reservations from the guest.
Encourage the guests to give their feedback on the Hotel's services.
Handle guest complaints and escalate further to the Outlet Manager when required.
Maintain guest database for repeat returns with details like special requirements, allergies, birthdays etc.

In case there are VIP guests, ensure that all necessary arrangements have been communicated with the concerned prior to arrival.
Perform any ad-hoc tasks assigned by Management.
