The role will be site-based on a major energy project in Tipperary, with long-term work across large-scale infrastructure and utility projects.This contractor delivers complex, next-generation solutions across energy, renewables, data centres, pharma and advanced manufacturing, operating on projects throughout Ireland.The RoleThe Senior Civil Engineer will take responsibility for the management, coordination and delivery of civil works supporting HV and electrical infrastructure, from tender stage through to project completion, with a strong focus on safety, quality, design coordination and programme.You will work closely with project management, commercial teams, designers, subcontractors and client representatives to ensure successful project execution.Key ResponsibilitiesReview tender documents and electrical requirements and develop civil/energy & utilities tender packagesTechnically review subcontractor tender submissions and support commercial selectionLiaise with civil and electrical designers to ensure designs meet project and utility requirementsManage client interfaces and approval processes related to civil design and constructionReview and quality-check civil designs prior to issueCoordinate input to client and utility design review processesPrepare subcontract packages in collaboration with the Project Manager and QSProject manage civil subcontractors from mobilisation through to handoverCoordinate closely with electrical design and construction teams to ensure correct installation and seamless handoverTrack and manage variations, ensuring timely communication with commercial teamsEnsure compliance with client management systems, specifications and contract requirementsManage civil sub-consultants and contractorsDeliver projects safely, to programme and to the required quality standardsSupport, manage and develop site teams and assigned personnelRequirementsDegree qualified in Civil Engineering, Energy Engineering or Renewable Engineering5+ years' experience as a Civil Engineer with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractorStrong experience in HV, utilities, energy or infrastructure projectsProven capability in setting out, design coordination and AutoCADExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalHighly organised, detail-focused and able to prioritise workload effectivelyConfident influencing and collaborating with multidisciplinary teamsEnjoys working in a high-performance, delivery-focused environmentWilling to travel as required by project demandsContact Stephen Kelly on to find out more
